Umbrella Training Joins the Line-Up at the Festival of Apprenticeships

Festival season is back and the Umbrella team were super excited to join over 400 students at the Kia Oval in Kennington for the first ever Festival of Apprenticeships.

The Festival of Apprenticeships is a roadshow exhibition promoting and celebrating all things apprenticeships, with a huge range of industries represented and guest speakers taking the stage throughout the day, including our very own Selven Armoogum.

Team Umbrella were out in force to offer guidance and support to everyone who came by our stand.

The students were exploring a whole host of career paths, and were clearly surprised and engaged with where hospitality apprenticeships through Umbrella could lead.

The day also saw some pretty impressive scores recorded in our 8-bit Level Up game (although the world record score of 346 still stands strong!)

Just after lunch Selven Armoogum took to the stage to discuss his own experiences with apprenticeships.

Selven completed several apprenticeship courses through Umbrella before joining the team as a learning consultant and is always happy to impart some of his 25 years of hospitality experience.

Overall this was fantastic event for students and Umbrella alike.

The opportunity to attend these kinds of events and engage directly with students has been sorely missed.
