Apprentices - call to action

Umbrella Training have teamed up with Hospitality Action for this years Social Sunday event on 7th July.

Kindly hosted by Crown Plaza Kensington in the garden pods, we are looking for Umbrella Training apprentice chefs and F&B apprentices to volunteer to help organise, plan and run the event.We are looking for 5 apprentice chefs (3 Commis and 2 Chef de Parties) to work in the kitchen under the leadership of Ben Purton on 6th and 7th July and 16 F&B apprentices work under the leadership of our LDM on the 7th July.

Want to be involved?Chefs need to submit a 5 course menu which includes:  Canapes (4 types), Starter, Fish, Main and Dessert and all must be seasonal for 50 people.F&B apprentices need to submit 3 reasons why they should be involved in the event.Before you apply, you need to get the approval from your line manager, HR department and anyone else who is involved in your apprenticeship. This will be voluntary event but will be added to your off job training so your employer must pay you for your time working on this event.

The next step is each entry will be submitted to the judges and the winners will be contacted by Umbrella Training.All profits from the event will be donated to Hospitality Action, The Clink, The Springboard Charity and Porchlight.
