Meet Will Braggins, Learning & Development Manager at Umbrella Training

Umbrella-Training_WillBaggins.jpg

Will is new to training but comes with a wealth of knowledge and a great passion for the hospitality industry, having previously worked both front and back of house.

Will says ‘Having completed my own apprenticeship, I know exactly what it means to have such a great network of mentors and trainers on hand. It’s an amazing feeling of accomplishment when you get the results back and a real element of pride to know that all the hard work has paid off. During my own experience, my knowledge, skills and behaviours were improved immensely and I’m now enjoying passing that on to the next generation.

After starting off in silver service while in his teens, Will went on to study Culinary Cuisine and his chef career began. Most recently working in a First Class lounge while completing his Hospitality Manager apprenticeship, he decided that he wanted to experience life from the teaching side and it was time to give something back to the industry.

When not in the kitchen or the classroom, Will is usually found headbanging in a mosh pit to his favourite bands or flying off to experience other food, flavours and cultures.
