There are always multiple ways of achieving the same thing. There are always solutions. Take inspiration from your team.
Allow them to challenge the status quo, to experiment with new ways, involve people in processes and evaluation, creativity will flourish. Ask ‘what is the risk?’
The chances are it is worth trying something new! Remember not to move on when the problem is solved, but when you and the team have taken the learning
Keep the doors open
The best ideas often come from the most unexpected sources. You can learn so much from others! Watch out for the quiet ones in your team, give them a forum – they might end up being the greatest contributors.
Laziness and intelligence together are often a great combination to achieve effectiveness and productivity. Rule breakers can also surprise you.
Set and monitor only the necessary boundaries: new starters, brand standards, compliance – (Limit the space for autocracy)
